Beclin1,the ortholog of yeast Atg6/Vps30,is a autophagy-specific gene in mammals,is also closely related to the tumor development.This paper has introduced its basic structure,the relevant functional proteins,and the relevant autophagy mechanism,summarized the relationships between autophagy, apoptosis and tumor.This article has also explored the potential of Beclin1 in the field of tumor treatment.
