Objective To observe the effects of a Chinese medicine "pneumonia mixture"on immunological,antibiotic and anti-inflammatory function in mice.Methods Carbon particles clearance test and serum assessment in vivo of mice were used to observe the effects of this product on the specific and nonspecific immunologic function in mice.The tube dilution method was used to test the MBC(minimum bactericidal concentration) to common pathogens in mice.Capillary permeability and granuloma formation were used to assess acute and chronic inflammatory responses.Results Pneumonia mixture can strengthen phagocytic function in mice.It can improve the serum half-hemolytic content(HC-(50)) and leukocyte count in immunologically incompetent mice.It can also raise T lymphocyte transformation rate.This product has antibacterial effect to pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus.It can reduce capillary permeability and granuloma formation in mice.Conclusion This product has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects and can improve immunologic function of organisms.
