    Abstract:

Objective To study a BV antibody surveillance model for establishment and maintenance of Macaca mulatta SPF colony. Method The BV antibodies of Macaca mulatta offspring were monitored by BV EIA and BV ELISA after weaning. Results 218 weaned cynomolgus monkeys and 92 weaned rhesus monkeys were selected randomly from the Macaca mulatta offspring in our center. By strictly screening nearly two years, 25 SPF cynomolgus monkeys and 9 SPF rhesus monkeys were obtained, and all the virus test results were confirmed as negative by BioReliance Co. in USA. Conclusion It is suggested that this model can effectively monitor the BV antibody change, and provide a powerful technique support for our center to establish the first Macaca mulatta SPF Colony in our country.
