    Abstract:

Objective To observe the changes of aging data of Wistar rats in the subacute aging model induced by the subcutaneous injection with D-galactose.Methods 20 male Wistar rats were divided randomly into two groups. Each group contained 10 rats for the control or aging model. The control rats were injected subcutaneously with 10 ml PBS/kg each day,and the rats of the aging model with 48 mg D-galactose/kg each day. After 42 days with continuous injection, the blood specimens were collected for the detection of the data relative to the aging. Results Compared with the control , the weight of the aging model rats increased slowly. The thymus of these rats shrivelled clearly, and their weight decreased as well (P<0.01).In addition, the superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity in the serum of these aging rats declined obviously(P<0.01). Conclusion The aging model could be established by the mimic aging reaction induced with D-galactose.
